The widow of late rocker Ronnie James Dio is keeping his music legacy alive - she's planning to release his autobiography in 2012. The heavy metal singer/songwriter lost his battle with stomach cancer in May this year at the age of 67, and now, six months later, Wendy Dio has confirmed she will reveal all about her late husband's rise to fame and his time with bands Dio, Black Sabbath, Heaven and Hell and Elf in a new tome.
She tells MetalHammer.co.uk, "The book is three-quarters written. I'm gonna finish it. I have a book deal already. I have to finish it by June, and it will come out in early 2012."
When Ronnie James Dio died on May 16, a lot of stars including Ozzy Osbourne, Lars Ulrich and Slash paid tribute to him. Queen guitarist Brian May even called him "one of the creators of the genre of heavy metal".
